No one would have thought that an escaped prisoner would flee to a simple restaurant. Nor would Vai have thought that having a simple meal with his wife would prove to be so difficult, turning out to actually be their last time together.

A plastic surgeon who excels at his job hides a dark secret. After finally succumbing to his desire to taste human flesh, the surgeon soon finds himself addicted to the taste of his patients' skin, which leads him to discover further culinary delights at a seedy restaurant with some highly dubious special dishes. Murder and mayhem ensue as the demented doctor continues to find new and gruesome ways to satisfy his appetite.

On the first day of opening, a small Italian restaurant is set on fire, killing three customers, and the unidentified survivor, who was injured and taken to hospital, somehow escapes. Detective Tono and his team, who are renowned for their interrogation skills, realise from evidence left at the scene that there are still survivors who have fled the scene. After obtaining information about the customers from the owner-chef, who was slightly injured, Tono visits the suspects, but they all seem to be acting strangely and are hiding something. The hidden relationship between the suspects, who seemed unrelated, is then revealed.

Team of chefs vie to impress some of the world's toughest palates as they whip up iconic dishes from different nations in this fast-paced competition.

Kageyama (Sho Sakurai) works as the butler for rich heiress Reiko Hosho (Keiko Kitagawa). Reiko happens to be a novice detective but lacks certain deductive skills needed by detectives. Because of this Reiko relies on Kageyamaa to help her solve cases. Meanwhile, Kageyama isn't afraid to mince words and often calls out Reiko with his sharp tongue!
