After a surveyor goes missing while working on the southern coast of England, her successor begins to encounter strange phenomena. These experiences may either hold the key to this mystery, or simply deepen the frontier marshland's enigmas.
Breitz’s ‘Soliloquy Trilogy’ (2000), expands her previous investigations of the imaginary relations between the star and the fan. Andy Warhol’s ‘Screen Tests’ of the mid-1960s were reportedly a key impetus for the series of three short films that make up the trilogy. Warhol’s short film portraits of the famous and the non-famous employ a static camera that focuses unblinkingly on the face of the motionless sitter over the course of several minutes. His fascination with compressed presence is echoed in Breitz’s films, which, like the ‘Screen Tests,’ reflect on the manner in which celebrity aura is created and maintained.

Paco & John - Live At Montreux 1987
A meditative film poem exploring the mystic's vision of the oneness of All and the possibility of a deeper, more profound reality through the use of camera, music, movement, color and light.
On July 10, 1987, Nina Simone performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival, one of the most prestigious annual music events in the world.
The season was basically between two drivers and a team- Mansell, Piquet and Williams Honda. Nelson Piquet won the championship through canny decisions, inheriting wins and profiting from Mansell's huge crash at Suzuka which secured the title for him. In truth Mansell should've won the championship but fell foul of ridicolous errors and bad luck. The season was the end of an era in some ways: Lotus's last grand prix win, Honda's last season at Williams and Porsche pulling out of the sport, the penultimate season of turbo engines which had alrady been reduced in power and the last race at the fantastic Osterreichring. Many circuits in the 21st century are uninspiring with long straights and slow corners. In 1987 they had Spa, Suzuka, Paul Ricard, Silverstone and Osterreichring. They also had excellent street circuits such as Monaco and Adelaide, challenging circuits like Estoril and Rio. Funny how lots of these are not in use any more in F1.
The Detroit Pistons were dominant for a period of time in the NBA and were tagged the "Bad Boys" due to their style of play and physicality. In the 1987-88 NBA season, they finished the season as Eastern Conference champions, having defeated the Boston Celtics in the EC Finals series (4-2).
