Dancer Murata Kaori choreographs the dolphin show at Enoshima Aquarium and teaches the caretakers at Sumida Aquarium about improvisational dance communication, and she also takes care of her bedridden mother.

Bok-hee’s splendid years have faded, and now she finds herself in old age. Having lost her husband and with her daughter living separately, she leads a solitary life. It’s the same tune she used to dance to with her friends when young. Fueled by nostalgia, Bok-hee decides to visit the club, hoping to relive those cherished memories. Yet, upon arrival, she is greeted by a reality far from her expectations.

A provincial who has not found himself, who is over thirty, goes to work in Moscow, where every time he stays for several nights with a distant relative – a lonely middle-aged woman. Their relationship is practically devoid of it, as if the constant unconscious in the form of strange obsessions somehow connects these people, at first glance far from each other.

Arriving for the school celebration, parents go to extreme lengths to iron out all the wrinkles from their boisterous children. They find they are helped in this by the rigidly strict dance teacher. The domineering commands of the lumbering teacher who cannot bear clatter of any sort and the hammering bars of the piano deconstruct the children and uniformize them in accordance with the ideal of adults: first they turn into oafish garden gnomes, then motionless mushrooms, graceful swans, and finally bounding deer.
