Kojiro Himuro is a champion figure skater taking part in an upcoming world competition. Yet, he is suffering from a complicated CTEPH (chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension). Kantaro Kurosu is the director of the Cross Medical Center. He asks Michiko Daimon to perform surgery on Kojiro, but, right before his surgery, she is deprived of “the most important weapon as a surgeon.”

One morning, Tom’s dad the vet has had enough of it and goes fishing. Little Tom decides to replace him in his job at the zoo. When a lion is in urgent need of an ice-cream, Tom sets out to buy it, but he leaves his things in the cage. The guards think he was eaten by the lion and overall panic follows. The director is filming her mother's GP practice while fighting the dysfunctional health system and troublesome patients. In the end she also fights herself, trying to figure out how much more she will continue to work while young doctors keep emigrating from Croatia on daily basis. The series depicts the events at the Kyiv Scientific Institute of Midwifery and Reproduction happening after Russia's large-scale invasion ti Ukraine began. Pregnant women with various complications are brought here from all over the country. The story unfolds as Dr. Honchar joins the centre. He is a dedicated obstetrician-gynaecologist who was forced to leave Sievierodonetsk and move to the capital after his clinic and home were destroyed as a result of shelling. Having survived the trauma, he tries to rebuild his life in a new place together with his daughter. The new place of work plunges Dr. Honchar into unexpected professional disputes and labyrinths of intrigues when he accidentally stumbles upon the ambitions of the deputy head of the hospital.

Doctor and research specialist Jun Jiu finds herself the victim of a spiked drink in a business plot. Having been pulled into a wormhole by an unfamiliar girl, Jun Jiu inadvertently swaps souls with her and is transmigrated into an unknown cultivation world as the daughter of the Jun family.
