In the far, far North, where the day begins and the oceans meet, a small hamlet New Chaplino is situated. The government decided to turn the village into a tourist resort. It is winter, 30 degrees Celsius below zero. The tourists are not coming. There are only few memories of them and the snow has already covered their footprints. A documentary about the tourism influence on original ethnic groups that haven’t been affected by civilization so far and about the changes of how they experience their own culture. The documentary takes place on the Russian far north – in the Chukotka region.

Fu-Jia the farmer grows lemons on a riverside flood-land. He borrowed a camera in 2009, saying that he would make a documentary on why the market price for lemons remains low. Not even a month later, Typhoon Morakot caused havoc in Taiwan, resulting in the largest flood in 50 years. Fu-Jia then documented the devastation with his camera. Upon learning Fu-Jia's story, we decided to make a documentary entitled "Fu-Jia's Home Movie" –about the man who has been making a documentary.

"The destruction of more than a third of Gaza’s homes as Israel bombards the territory in pursuit of Hamas is leading international legal experts to raise the concept of 'domicide': the mass destruction of dwellings to make the territory uninhabitable. "The Guardian spent two days with Samah and her family in December to see the remains of their house and how they are surviving the war. She told the film-maker Majdi Fathi about why they decided this was the safest place for them to be."
