Jacqueline Du Pré Masterclass, Film Complet VF Gratuit, jacqueline du pre || film complet et série vostfr
Before her untimely death from multiple sclerosis in 1987, renowned cellist Jacqueline Du Pre won classical audiences in the 1960s and '70s with her robust and lively approach to musicianship, a testament to her innate genius and deep affinity for the pieces she played. See her face Brahms's cello sonatas, Beethoven's "Sonata No. 3 in A, Op. 69" (with husband Daniel Barenboim on piano), Elgar's "Cello Concerto in E minor, Op. 85" and many others.
Jacqueline du Pré and the Elgar Cello Concerto, a documentary by award-winning film maker Christopher Nupen, explores the artistic personality of one of the finest performing musicians of the twentieth century, with the recurring theme of her special relationship with the Elgar’s melancholy Cello Concerto. The film begins with an account of what she did after the onset of her illness when she could no longer perform in public. It ends, at her own request, with a re-edited version of the original portrait film which sketches her childhood and the development of her musical talent, her meeting with Daniel Barenboim and their marriage in 1967, her special relationship with the Elgar concerto and, finally, a complete performance of the work with The New Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Daniel Barenboim; a performance which has become legendary.
Director Christopher Nupen paints an honest, moving portrait of Jacuqeline Du Pre, the cellist who mesmerized audiences every time she took the stage. Du Pre (whose life also inspired the film Hilary and Jackie) transcended other players on the horizon from the moment she debuted at age 16 and broke the hearts of classical music enthusiasts everywhere when she had to retire 11 years later after multiple sclerosis left her unable to play.
