After spending a lot of time with him, she gets to know the taste of true love for the first time. Although the relationship is nothing more than just a show, she finds it impossible to leave this ordinary man. LET's LOVE tells the story of Mai, a young Laotian lesbian struggling to find acceptance and love in a socially conservative society that is not open to her sexual orientation. Through Mai's complex relationships with her family, friends and wider society, LET's LOVE illuminates the many obstacles currently facing the LGBTQI community in Laos, making it the first film of this kind ever made in the Laotian context.

Hitting 30 and no husband in sight? Forget online dating. In this hugely popular documentary, Wu Wuna seeks out Taipei’s thoroughly modern matchmaker, Chen Hailun. She looks on in amazement as Chen fixes up the most unlikely couples. More therapist for individuals than broker between families, Chen nudges the men – “why not marry her?” – and reassures the women. The stories the couples tell might inspire you to believe in love and romance all over again. But you might also notice that Wu Wuna doesn’t seem quite convinced enough to engage Chen’s services for herself.

The film combines animation and mockumentary to get a glimpse of the boring but romantic daily life of a middle-aged man living alone from the perspective of a monitor. I put my emotional feelings and thoughts into this short film as a response of the pandemic. I want to illustrate the individual’s desire for love in this isolate environment.
