Malai Malai is all about two mountains of power clashing with each other. One man is an important and powerful figure in the village while the other man hails form the city. Why they clash is the story of Malai Malai.

Caught between family duty and romantic love, a young man faces an impossible choice.

Living on the borders of Kerala and Tamil Nadu, Rangasamy, a laborer just like his fellow sons of soils toils, hard-working at the spice plantations owned by landlords. He lives a happy life and wishes to own a piece of land and earn a living through farming. After years of struggle, his dream finally comes true when Chaako, a local politician helps him buy the land, however, he soon faces tougher challenges as he has to deal with corrupt and wealthy politicians.

Maalai Sooda Vaa is a 1975 Tamil language film starring Kamal Haasan and Kumari Manjula in the lead roles. The script was written by Venniradai Moorthy, dialogue written by Chitralaya Gopu.

The film is set in a village near Madurai. Pugazhendi (RK) spends all his time drinking and is ridiculed by everyone. In contrast, his elder brother Pandithurai (Napoleon) is respected and admired by everyone.

An impoverished little boy from an interior village discovers the dark side of the Great Indian Wedding in his quest to get his favourite food - ice-cream, referred to as ‘Malai’ in his local tongue. Set in the rough rocky terrain of interior Odisha, the short film is a cinematic protest against the evils of caste hierarchy, female exploitation and child abuse prevalent in our society even in the eighteenth year of the new millennium.
