The year is 1919, and armies of mechanized soldiers are advancing on the capital with the pride of Hell in their wake. However, the engineering geniuses of Kanzaki Heavy Industries have Developed a new weapon to balance the odds... if suitable pilots can be found in time. Chosen for their unique psychic skills, a group of courageous young women assembled from around the world will pilot steam-driven giant robots into single combat with the enemies of the Earth. But beneath the strain of rigouous practice and the onslaught of a faceless enemy, the Flower Brigade is soon in desperate need of leadership. Excitement builds as rumor of a new commander reaches the Extreme Capital Defenders. Can the handsome young officer lead his disorganized Flower Division into battle, or will he face the enemy alone?

At the beginning of 1900's, Sakura Shinguji received the mission of defending imperial capital Tokyo and came from Sendai to Tokyo. But, the post which she was assigned was the floral unit of the popular opera group at that time. She tries to become familiar with her new companions while she is perplexed as to what the relationship is between the fight and the opera group. But...

Ten years after the demon war, the new Imperial Combat Revue’s Flower Division is assigned a new captain, Seijuro Kamiyama. Now, Sakura and the rest of the troupe must adjust to the change, face a demon invasion, and prepare for an upcoming tournament. They’ll have to juggle all this while keeping up with their training and continuing to put on shows at their home, the Imperial Theater.

An unseen evil lurks in the streets of Paris. Unless something is done, the darkness will unleash its destruction and consume all that is good. The City of Love will be lost to her people forever. All hope rests within the hearts of five young ladies. The only problem is, they don't even know it yet. But will an apprenticed nun, a reserved aristocrat, a hardened criminal, a traveling circus emcee and a Japanese girl experiencing loss set aside their unique differences and come together as one for the defense of many. The Paris Fighting Troup is born.

Following in the aftermath of a terrible Demon-Human war, turn of the century Japan is preparing a new fighting force in case the demons decide to return. A squadron of giant robots are built to be controlled by the spirit of the pilot, but it is discovered that the only people with sufficient spirit are young women. After recruiting a team of youths from around the world, the Japanese government decides to keep them a secret by disguising them as a theater troupe, thus requiring them to spend as much time memorizing Shakespeare as they do on military training.

For years the defence and safety of the Imperial city rested on the shoulders of Sumire Kanzaki of the Flower Troupe. But this, as with all things, must fade away. As the top star of the Imperial Operetta Company, Sumire was the power and the light from which her comrades drew their own strength and resolve. It was through her that the Flower Troupe found their courage... and through her that many happy memories were made. Now the curtain rises for one final performance as the star that once shined so brightly to grow faint. As the spotlight dims on one legend, another must come center stage.

The fifth Sakura Wars Summer Kayou Show - “Kaijin Bessou” A stage musical based on the Sega/Red Company game series “Sakura Wars,” and starring the voice actresses from that franchise. It is split into two parts: act 1 is an adventure starring the members of the Flower Division, and act 2 is a play within a play Izumi Kyoka’s The Sea God’s Villa (Kaijin Bessou)
