The results of a three-decade investigation to uncover one of ancient Egypt’s greatest lost cities, Canopus, which for centuries had been lost beneath the waves. It’s a city connected with Cleopatra, as well as with four great ancient civilisations. It’s a story that starts 10 miles off the Egyptian coast at Alexandria.

The series revolves around the beginning of the Roman era in Egypt, and the series tells the life story of Queen Cleopatra, who was crowned on the throne of Egypt, before the advent of Julius Caesar and his falling in love with her, then his death and her entry into a long love story with Anthony, the successor of Caesar.
