Batingaw

The film tells a story of large rural families suffering from economic insecurity in a remote part of the town of Magdalena, Laguna, where major life events are punctuated by the tollling of the church bells, and the coastal community of Dalahican, Quezon. Both places are homes of large families dealing with the reality of poverty.

Only son of an overseer, Magno is much in love with Teresa, daughter of his father's boss, Don Marcos. But Don Marcos wants his daughter to marry Bernabe, a rich gambler, but apparently a gentleman. The town does not know he is the"Bat," a mysterious character who preys on the townsfolk. Teresa turns down Bernabe and in revenge Bernabe has Magno kidnapped and denounced as the Bat.

The “Batingaw” is a short film about a man who is in search of oneself. It is a story of a man who is looking for the perfect place where he can be genuinely free, serene, and happy; but ends up, to the same, where plastics, bottles, broken vessels, empty containers and the like stops. Batingaw is the late-evening news program in the People's Television Network and anchored by Aljo Bendijo, Katherine Villar, and Kathy San Gabriel. In Early August 2010, Batingaw was replaced by the returned Teledyaryo Final Edition. Aired With Same Anchors
