A profile of the astronauts, crew, and civilians who were involved in the January 28, 1986 flight of the spaceship, Challenger, that resulted in its explosion upon takeoff. The center point of the film is the safety inspections and arguments surrounding the use of the o-rings that ultimately were blamed for the explosion.

The show offers 16 candidates the chance to be stranded in a remote locale, with limited resources, in the hopes that one person will outlast the others and secure the show's one-million-dollar prize.

Film produced on behalf of Peugeot by Jean Louis Mourey, chronicling the debut season of the Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 and its fortunes on the 1984 Tour de Corse, Acropolis, 1000 Lakes, Sanremo and RAC Rallies.

In January 1986 the Space Shuttle program was hitting full stride, with 24 successful launches and a full year of missions planned. Then on January 28th the U.S. space program suffered its first flight loss of life with the disintegration of the shuttle just 73 seconds after launch.

Infinite Challenge has been reported as the first "Real-Variety" show in Korean television history. Challenger is an ABC TV-movie based on the events surrounding the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster. Its production was somewhat controversial as the families of the astronauts generally objected to it. The film concentrates on the safety inspections and arguments surrounding the O-rings that ultimately were blamed for the breakup of Challenger. While doing this, it also aims to show the personal humanity of the seven crew members. Generally, the film supports the Space Shuttle program and the dedication of NASA personnel in general while criticizing NASA management.

Challenger was an Australian children's game show that aired on the Nine Network in 1997 and 1998. The first host was Diarmid Heidenreich famous for playing Dougie the pizza delivery guy in the Pizza Hut commercials in the mid-1990s. After he left the show in early 1998 he was replaced by hosts Adrian DeVito and Zoe Sheridan. Adrian DeVito and Zoe Sheridan continued to film 265 episodes before the show was superseeded with a return of Now You See It.
