Lila goes to her grandmother’s to spend the weekend. There, she meets her cousin Maxime with whom she has been very close since childhood. It’s during this weekend that an event will forever change the relationship between the two and tarnish Lila’s worldview.

Making the most of the family home while her parents are away, 22-year-old Nicole is enjoying a peaceful summer with her best friend Véronique. But when Nicole’s older brother shows up with his band to record an album, the girls’ friendship is put to the test.

This little film, which juxtaposes animated sand and scratching on 16mm film, was made during studies at the Royal College of Art. The starting point of this film was the sentence "but it's always when you're asleep that I want to talk to you", read on a wall in the underground... a phrase actually taken from a Mano Solo song.
