This film chronicles the bizzare story behind the making of the all time cult classic "Forbidden Zone", as well as providing a brief history of the Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo that follows their transformation from theatrical stage troupe to legendary rock band.

This is a special made by WGN-9 Chicago to tie in with the release of Twilight Zone: The Movie. Hosted by Carol Serling (Rod's window), it features the three episodes of the original series that were adapted into the movie: Kick the Can, It's a Good Life and Nightmare at 20,000 Feet. Zone Fighter, known in Japan as Ryūsei Ningen Zone, is a tokusatsu science fiction superhero television series. Produced by Toho Company Ltd., the show aired on Nippon Television from April 2 to September 24, 1973, with a total of 26 episodes, it was cancelled due to the oil crisis of 1973.
