Juan Of The Dead

Juan is a child who doesn't have any friends. La Nube is a cloud who doesn't have any cloud friends. They find each other and become friends. However, Juan grows up and gets lost in the grey adult world.

A Spanish nobleman raises his only daughter as a boy, similarly to Greta Garbo in Queen Christina (1933). In adulthood, Juana's upbringing causes complications in her love life. Possibly an early example of genderqueer representation.

Juan works in a uniforms store. A safe, mundane life without ambition. Until one day, La Borrega came along.

An opera troupe in a small town decides to perform Mozart's Don Giovanni. The view behind the scenes uncovers the world of opera without the glitter. A tale of love and disappointment, about music and passionate love-making and about people that live their lives in spite of the opera.

A personal message from the author that becomes an imaginary conversation, an intimate look at his relationship with his father, many unspoken words and a common name: Juan Alberto.
