This short documentary profiles Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day parade in Montreal in 1959. The annual parade takes place every June 24th in memory of Saint-Jean-Baptiste, the patron saint of Québec. Candid shots of youngsters preparing their costumes for the festivities are partnered with a lively jazz soundtrack. All the Montrealers and out-of-town tourists featured in this film avidly participate in a public festivity that is dear to their hearts.

An abstract narrative, diary film and travelogue reminiscing on the quotidian. My day to day routines and deviations from it are captured as 6 months pass on the screen in a blur. Musique concrète accompanies the visuals taken from vocal samples of myself as a child and repurposed. Ruminations on nostalgia, film as material and 16mm as a particularly evocative medium with a long history of home movies and nonprofessional filmmaking. The film acts as a document, archiving time and place, as a way for me to recount where and what I did at this point in my life-a point where I still feel an existential drifting and listlessness. Something to look back at and only make sense of after the fact.

A young woman returns home to Wisconsin for her best friend's wedding and the one year anniversary of her father's death.

The Farmer tries to keep his pet from eloping. The "star attraction" here, as far as I'm concerned, is the ballad "Agnes", probably an original song by Philip A. Scheib (during a period when they were working hard to introduce them in these films; "Gypsy Life" being the only one anyone remembers). The scenes with the couple on a bicycle was an early one by "Connie" Rasinski, exhibiting his learning from Bill Tytla. The shot with the cats walking down the aisle is by a staffer whose animation was full of awkwardness and errors, but was also ambitious and charming.

Grace is a young woman struggling with grief after a series of dramatic events. While attempting to move forward and re-connect with friends, she finds herself drawn towards a haunted young man. The two strangers find comfort in their new found friendship as they finally learn to let go of their pain and quickly embrace the special bond that is growing between them. Complications arise however and relationships are put to the test when acts of deceit, painful secrets and true feelings are finally revealed.
