Riḥla

Shirin, a 15-year-old Muslim girl, has been living a solitary life with her ailing mother for the past two years. One day, her mother passes away, leaving her to reconnect with her father, with whom she has had no contact for a long time, to handle the funeral according to Islamic customs. Once the ceremonies are over, Shirin must face living with her father in their old home and find answers for her own life.

TRIP ALONG EXODUS is a feature-length documentary exploring the last 70 years of Palestinian politics seen through the prism of the life of Dr Elias Shoufani, a leader of the Palestinian Liberation Organization, an academic writer and leftist intellectual who worked with Fateh (but was one of the leaders of the opposition to Arafat) for 20 years. He is also the father of the filmmaker and writer, Hind.

Rihla, means "Journey" in Arabic. It followed US Islamic scholar Hamza Yusuf Hanson as he travelled around the globe. Mr Hanson, known as Sheikh Hamza, and presenter Eissa Bougary met the public and scholars in places from Cambridge in the UK to San Francisco in the US and Istanbul in Turkey.
