Snow Flower is a 2006 South Korean television series starring Kim Hee-ae, Go Ara, Lee Jae-ryong and Kim Kibum. It aired on SBS from November 20, 2006 to January 9, 2007 on Mondays and Tuesdays at 21:55 for 16 episodes. A story about a mother who tries to protect her daughter out of love but inflicts pain instead, the drama series was based on the same-titled novel written by Kim Soo-hyun. It was also adapted into the 1992 film Flower in Snow starring Yoon Jeong-hee and Lee Mi-yeon.

"The New Snow Leopard" is adapted from the online novel "Special Warfare Pioneer" written by an amateur sniper. The novel was adapted into the TV series "Snow Leopard" starring Wen Wen in 2009, which was well received after being broadcast. Three years later, the original cast of the old version of "Snow Leopard" teamed up again to create "New Snow Leopard", and the soul character Zhou Weiguo, who was once played by Wen Wen, was played by Zhang Ruoyun.
