The Loreley S Grasp

The legendary Loreley has been living for centuries in a grotto beneath the river Rhein in Germany. Every night when the moon is full, she turns into a reptile-like creature craving for human blood. When one girl after another of a nearby boarding school is killed by her, a hunter named Sigurd is engaged to kill the monster.

A drama set during World War II where a submarine carrying a secret weapon attempts to stop a planned third atomic bombing of Japan. Based on Harutoshi Fukui's novel Shuusen no Lorelei.

On July 18th, 2008 Tangerine Dream performed an open air concert as part of the "Night Of The Prog Festival" at the Loreley Rock at the river Rhine in Germany. On this occasion, they released the 'mini cupdisc' Das Romantische Opfer. As most of TD's concerts of recent years, the gig was filmed and finally released at the end of 2008 as Loreley on DVD. The single DVD comes with a four page insert featuring photos of the line-up, credits and the track listing. The animated menu provides the options to play the complete concert as well as to start from individual tracks, to view the credits or a "Behind The Scenes" bonus feature, and to do the audio setup (Stereo 2.0 or Dolby Surround 5.1).

Live at Loreley

A romantic story unfolding in a beautiful village by the sea. The protagonists are 14-year-old Fedor and 18-year-old Nyurka. Fedor has long been interested in the girl, but was too shy to talk to her. He is an ordinary boy who enjoys riding his bike, while Nyurka is almost an actress. Her favorite book is 'Angelique and the King', a novel that defines the way she looks at life. She has often imagined being cast in the title role in a film. When she becomes close friends with Fedor, she assigns him a part from the novel as well. A film showing that love has no age. True feelings can change people and make them grow up. And love is a magical and pure feeling that can awaken courage in hearts.
