The Secret World of Santa Claus is a children's animated television show that originates from France. It is syndicated to several countries worldwide, including Teletoon in Canada, and is generally seen every December during the holiday season. On December 25, 1999, Christmas Day, The Secret World of Santa Claus marathon took place from 6:00am to 7:00pm. The show has been put back on air and will be showed every Christmas season on Teletoon.

After nearly three decades of being Santa Claus, Scott Calvin’s magic begins to falter. As he struggles to keep up with the demands of the job, he discovers a new clause that forces him to rethink his role as Santa and as a father.

Based on a book by L. Frank Baum, famed author of the "Wizard of Oz" series, The Adventures of Young Santa Claus tells the story of Santa Claus as a child and youth before becoming the world-renowned saint of Christmas. Now that Santa and Mrs. Claus have the North Pole running smoothly, the Counsel of Legendary Figures has called an emergency meeting on Christmas Eve! The evil Jack Frost has been making trouble, looking to take over the holiday! So he launches a plan to sabotage the toy factory and compel Scott to invoke the little-known Escape Clause and wish he'd never become Santa.

Koshiba Seijuro is the assisstant to some influential figure whose daughter was all messed up, and who comes to the psychiatrist Koizumi Santa and asks him to counsel the daughter without her knowledge. Since Santa is a compulsive gambler he's hard up for money and takes the job even though he's queasy about the ethics. Turns out that she's the same girl he took to the hospital nine months earlier when she had passed out drunk on a roof preparing to jump. As it happens she woke up in the hospital and saw Santa's best friend Kusanagi Shunsuke (a surgeon) holding the Santa Claus hat Santa had been wearing (it was Christmas Eve), and it turns into a very complicated love triangle.

Pyrus is a young elf who lives in The Danish National Archives, where Chief Archivist Birger Bertramsen work alongside his new assistant Josefine Brahe. The young elf lives together with the old Archivist elf Gyldengrød and the elf girl Kandis, who just moved in and the. Pyrus complains that he cannot get Christmas-presents, as Santa Claus doesn't give presents to elf's. Pyrus tries to conjure him with the help of a magical book to talk to him, but unfortunately Santa Claus is already in the National Archives when he does, which results in Clause losing his memories. Now the elf's must help Clause regain his memories by visiting historical events using the books in the archive. They meeting Saint Nicholas (the predecessor of Santa Claus), La Befana (who comes bearing gifts in Italy) and the American Santa Claus.
