The artist Cildo Meireles in search of the sound of Brazil's main water basins in order to construct the sound sculpture Rio:Oir (River:Hear) created from the play on words and concepts. From Foz do Iguaçu to the Pororoca of Macapá, from the Águas Emendadas Park to the mouth of the São Francisco river, and later, in a studio, gathering the pieces and matching them to the cacophony of residual waters and human laughter. The documentary "Listening to the River" reveals the artist's simplicity, the relation of region's inhabitants with water, and it enhances our perception between sound and image.

The reasons why these songs were censored reveals the changing controversies around youth culture over the last 75 years, with Bing Crosby and the Munchkins among the unlikely names to have met the wrath of the BBC. Minare Koda, a floor manager at a small restaurant in Sapporo, tries to deal with her bad breakup with an ex-boyfriend. In the process, she drunkenly vents her frustrations to an older man sitting next to her at a local bar. The following day, she discovers that the man works as a producer at a nearby radio station, which broadcast her drunken ramblings over the airwaves. As Minare's voice gains her more attention than her work at the restaurant, she ends up becoming a late-night radio talk show host at the same station, trying to balance her talk show with her daytime life to make ends meet.

In 2010, a probation officer conducts a routine check on 76-year-old Joseph Naso, in Reno, Nevada. During a search of Naso’s home for probation violations, the officer finds a shocking cache of materials: thousands of pictures of women in hosiery, mannequins dressed in lingerie, and a journal recounting dozens of sexual assaults. But the most important piece of evidence found is Naso’s “List of Ten,” a handwritten list with ten cryptic entries of vague locations, but no names or dates. Investigators fear that they have stumbled upon a hidden serial killer and his list of victims completely by chance. Working against time, investigators have one year to decode the list before Naso goes free.

Matthew Hill directs this portrait of Anne Lister, an early 19th century Englishwoman who broke many of the stereotypes associated with the women of the era. Lister kept a diary that would eventually contain more than 4,000,000 words documenting her travels and experiences as a lesbian in Yorkshire society. Interestingly, some of the passages are written in code; when deciphered, they reveal the details of Lister's many love affairs with women.
