She and he are like too many young people in this city, full of fantasies but often with nothing to do. She has a band that is rehearsing tonight, but she doesn't know when they will perform yet. He came to see her, he wasn't quite used to such an occasion, but he still came. After the performance, they went for a walk together, and the night passed like many ordinary nights.

This film tells the life course of a pair of sisters from strangers to acquaintances, from resistance to help, shows the hard work of contemporary young people for their dreams, and praises the sincere feelings between people.

Chantal is employed one summer to look after Paul, 16. He is suffering from an incurable illness that contributes to his violent, aggressive temperament. With Nelly, the family cook, to help, Chantal tries to befriend the young patient. To escape the oppressive reality of her job, Chantal dreams. She dreams of her favorite singers and other popular idols who reassure her the time it takes to sing a few songs.
