To confront the harsh reality of being accused for sexually molesting his own daughter, a man seeks escape in his mind.

A pandemic that seemingly stops everything does not stop the human spirit. The six stories told in this film show that feelings like love, hate, sadness, loneliness, fear and hope bring out the best and worst in us in extreme circumstances. No illness, physical or soul, will prevent the confluence between people and their stories.

In a lonely spot near the sea, a boy flies a kite made by his father. It's windy and the kite has become entangled in the vegetation. The boy needs an adult to help him keep it flying. Together, lost in the middle of nature, they will launch into the narration of a tale with myriad episodes.

A tedious day in the country. A chaotic day in the city. The relation between both stories becomes complicated as sound and image begin to diverge.

In spite of a massive international investigative effort and a plenitude of theories, there is still no conclusive explanation of what happened to these 43 young men, raising the chilling possibility that the mystery of the students’ disappearance will never be solved. A Day in Ayotzinapa 43 is not a recount of the events, but an intimate foray into a community under siege, as it serves as the symbolic epicentre of a political tension that has erupted at all levels.
