Un Petit Coin De Paradis

Inspired by a mime show ("Panem en circenses"), the film is a series of comical situations based on the absurd. Burlesque situations experienced by two tramps in a vague location. They don't know each other but have both chosen to spend the night there. The film tells of them approaching each other, at times being charming, at others jeering and being aggressive.

When compulsive gambler Little Joe Jackson dies in a drunken fight, he awakens in purgatory, where he learns that he will be sent back to Earth for six months to prove that he deserves to be in heaven. He awakens, remembering nothing and struggles to do right by his devout wife, Petunia, while an angel known as the General and the devil's son, Lucifer Jr., fight for his soul.

The Bread Factory is the scene for rehearsals of the Greek play Hecuba. But the real theatrics are outside the theater, with the town invaded by bizarre tourists and mysterious tech start-up workers. There is a new normal in Checkford, if it is even really Checkford any longer.
