Somewhere in the Nordic wilderness, in a place that lives by its own rules, lies Utmark. A corrupt sheriff, cross-dressing farmer, possessed shopkeeper, alcoholic shepherd, nature-loving bootlegger, God-hating pastor, grieving pimp. Imachi Jun is a newbie novelist whose debut work was a big hit. Her first work was sold so well that it pressures her, making it impossible for her to continue her work. Jun then escapes from Tokyo and ends up at Cable-Hachimangu-Sanjo Station, a station from the Keihan Electric Railway, where she meets former chef, Sousuke, and elementary school student, Kokoro. Jun ends up living at a lodging "Kizunaya" and learns about life while interating with the guests there.

A washed up horror film director named Kôji Kuroishi (played by Kôji Shiraishi) and his assistant director named Miho Ichikawa visit a house deep in wooded mountains to film a movie. Once arrived, they meet a mentally deranged woman named Maria Miyoshi who proclaims she's a fan of Kuroishi's works. The woman pleads that she's experienced the same things as documented in Kuroishi's works. Unexplainable phenomena quickly begin to happen, so Kuroishi sets out to document these experiences and turn them into a film, together with the help of a 'super volunteer' named Shôhei Uno and a handsome psychic medium named Nanashi.

After living 45 years in Germany, the Turkish Hüseyin Yilmaz, seventy, announces to his family that he has bought a house in Turkey and they should return to make the necessary reforms. Also, Kenta's younger sister Nana is stalked by her ex-boyfriend. Kenta and his family try to find out who is responsible. This mini series is based on the novel "Yokoso Wagaya e" by Jun Ikeido.

Five children save the life of a dog-like alien while at a self-run summer camp. He attempts to reward them by taking them to an alien colony on the Moon. Events take a turn for the worse when his report on that attack that injured him causes passage from the Moon to the Earth to be banned, and children are stranded in space. The children need to find a way back home before camp ends and their parents discover that they are missing. They also have to avoid the poachers that injured their alien friend, and now seem to be stalking them all.
