A young cartoonist intentionally gets near Ji Yan Xin, a cold and arrogant professor. Qi Nian, a girl with a straightforward personality hopes that interacting with Ji Yan Xin would give her inspiration and creative materials for her comic plot. Coincidentally Ji Yan Xin’s younger brother Ji Si Qi becomes Qi Nian’s assistant and a catalyst for their relationship to progress and blossom.

Lin Meiya is on a plane returning home from her studies abroad when she encounters Ou Yang due to a misunderstanding. She had planned to get married upon her return but is unexpectedly met with her boyfriend's cold betrayal. Learning to stand up and move on from heartbreak, she finds employment at Ou Yang's company. As they spend time together, their relationship deepens beyond simple friendship, and they learn to rely on each other through difficult times.

Zhao Liang’s film portrays AIDS sufferers of both genders; they are all people with very different biographies. As if it wasn’t bad enough being infected by HIV, their suffering is compounded by the fact that in the People’s Republic of China the disease is hushed up and people living with AIDS are ostracised. In China, the public at large knows very little about the disease and most people associate the virus with promiscuity. This fear of discrimination forces most patients to hide the fact that they are positive. The AIDS sufferers in Zhao Liang’s film were willing to share their experiences with him. The filmmaker was able to make contact with them via internet support groups; he also visited children with Aids at a ‘red ribbon’ school; but above all, he talked to AIDS sufferers during the making of Gu Changwei’s film. It is their presence which lends Changwei’s film its particular authenticity.

Nan Au-Yeung (Michelle Wai) and Sze Tso-chi (Ken Hung) share the same birthday, go to the same school, love photography, and are just as competitive. But they did not know of each other’s existence until they “crossed swords” at a debate tournament. And they both felt as if the fairytale prince and princess finally found each other. Later in a birthday party, Nan thought Chi played a trick on her, leaving a slap on his face. Four years later, Nan Au-Yeung encounters his ghost and learns that he is already dead...

Shin and Hung are close friends, but gradually Shin starts to have feelings for Hung. Hung decides to join a gay beauty contest in order to win USD 300,000 to pay his girlfriend's credit card debt. At the same time, an anti-gay cop, Jay, pretends to be gay and joins the contest to investigate a possible crime by an anti-gay group.
