However, due to his inexperience in leadership and personal conflicts with the empress, Shunzhi died young. Empress Dowager Zhaoren helped Shunzhi’s young son, Kangxi, become emperor, and he went on to provide stable leadership which helped the Qing Dynasty thrive.
