MAG・ネット is a television program aired on NHK which delves into the realm of otaku culture on a weekly basis. They cover a wide range of things, from seiyuu, games, animators, manga artists, etc and do a very good job creating a professional and illuminating weekly documentary. This is a special on the work and life of japanese master animator Yoshinori "Iko" Kanada.

Six animated shorts about discrimination and being different. “Daydream” talks about dealing with people with disability. It homes in on the daily life of a father with a daughter whose hands and feet are deformed. “Animal Farm” relies on the rough-and-ready feel of stop-motion clay animation to create a satire of bullying and mob dynamics. “At Her House” paints a devastating picture of gender inequality within a marriage. “Flesh and Bone” gently pillories superficiality and the obsession with outward appearance. “Bicycle Trip” focuses on the discrimination experienced by foreign workers in Korea. “Be a Human Being” looks at the way young Koreans are barely treated as human beings before they get to university.

"The Third Wish” (AN Dong-hui, RYU Jeong-wu). A fairy godmother appears before a visually impaired young woman to grant her three wishes. "Ajukari” (HONG Deok-pyo) is a street-style cartoon. It comically depicts how a certain macho "complex" can cripple men. "Baby" (LEE Hong-su, LEE Hong-min) portrays the difficulties a career woman faces in having a child. "Shine Shine Shining" (KWON Mi-jeong) is drawn like a warm, watercolor storybook for children. "Merry Golasmas" is an adorable claymation, or stop motion animation of models constructed from clay, plasticine, etc. Last but not least, “Lies" explores homosexuality.

The conductor (Anna) suddenly leaves the city and silently lives alone in the northern forest on the seashore. Once a chorus girl (Aglaya) comes to her in the hope of returning Anna to her destiny, but remains with her outside of time and boundaries between reality and sleep. Gradually the voice of the chorus girl becomes the inner voice of the silent conductor.

Pilař made the two surviving reels of animation experiments after his return from the 1963 Paris Biennale. The gestural brush painting over the surface of the originally black and white puppet film which he almost completely removed from the stock falls at the beginning of his programme works of expressive collage and assemblage. He returned to it repeatedly, as he did to the material he later reworked for Pink Floyd (ca. 1984) and Colours 1965 (ca. 1991).

A Jester sets up his portable stage on a barren planet, and compels his puppets to enact an old story. A retelling of the Adam and Eve story from a different perspective. Originally made for the Stopmoshorts website, where keywords were set every 3 months so we could try to incorporate them into a short film sequence. The keywords were Apple, Tree, and Fall, so it was either this or Isaac Newton. And I couldn't think of where to go after the apple landed on his head... Instead of a 30 second gag to be be completed by the deadline, , I took a few months longer to make this into an actual short film. Puppets, sets lighting, camera and animation by Nick Hilligoss. Music composed by John Garden and performed by Earthly Delights, and used with permission. Produced and directed by Nick Hilligoss 2007.
