"The Dancing Hawk" refers to the son of a peasant who senses he can climb to the job in troubled times by playing his cards right. His slavery to work match his ambitions, and gradually he reaches the social position he desires. But the costs have included a dehumanized soul and a loss of a moral conscience. People have had to pay for his advancement, including those nearest to him. The downfall is equally painful: either imprisonment or the easy wasy out are offered as the alternatives.

Sato, a third year high school student, lives with her father and grandmother. Meanwhile, Sato is told that Shizu's physical condition has been gradually worsening and there's a possibility of her grandma soon becoming bedridden, which deeply shakes her heart. Sato discovers that it was Shizu's long-held dream to go on a trip to Hawaii, thinking it might be the last chance to create a family memory together, she plans a "pseudo-Hawaii trip'" to Zushi.

By chance, two men open their hearts to cats on the street. One man is a poet and traveler, the other man is a CF director. The poet takes pictures of cats on the streets every day. The CF director follows the cats with his video camera and meets people who feed the cats on the street. These two men begin to feed and name the cats they see often. The men get closer to the cats, while they observe, that often, the passersby look at the cats with unfavorable gazes. On a whim, the men decide to make a movie on these street cats.

Come Dancing was a BBC TV ballroom dancing competition show that ran on and off from 1949 to 1998, becoming one of television's longest-running shows. The show was created by Eric Morley, the founder of Miss World, and began in 1949 by broadcasting from regional ballroom studios, with professional dancers Syd Perkin and Edna Duffield on hand to offer teaching. In 1953 the format changed to become a competition, with later series seeing regions of the United Kingdom going head to head for the coveted trophy. The many presenters over the years included Peter West, McDonald Hobley, Charles Nove, Terry Wogan, Brian Johnston, Angela Rippon, Michael Aspel, Noel Edmonds, David Jacobs, Judith Chalmers, Pete Murray, and Rosemarie Ford.
