Let Fall The Rain

In a dystopian world of toxic rains, Eli and Becca scramble to prepare for impending Spring showers. When their sole power source fails, their efforts derail. As they scavenge for parts, they become the target of raiders.

An amusement park seen as a place that changes because of the way it is inhabited during the day. The behavior of those who are just visiting contrasts with the way those who work there behave, whose actions are the same every day.

Anna travels to Santiago after many years, convinced by her brother to leave their mother’s ashes in the imposing rocks at Las Docas in Valparaíso, where their father lives in a faraway cabin. A significant reunion for this deteriorated family will be tainted by alcohol, childhood memories and love. Anna and her father will revive the demon that destroyed what once was their family.

Hitting 30 and no husband in sight? Forget online dating. In this hugely popular documentary, Wu Wuna seeks out Taipei’s thoroughly modern matchmaker, Chen Hailun. She looks on in amazement as Chen fixes up the most unlikely couples. More therapist for individuals than broker between families, Chen nudges the men – “why not marry her?” – and reassures the women. The stories the couples tell might inspire you to believe in love and romance all over again. But you might also notice that Wu Wuna doesn’t seem quite convinced enough to engage Chen’s services for herself.

The film combines animation and mockumentary to get a glimpse of the boring but romantic daily life of a middle-aged man living alone from the perspective of a monitor. I put my emotional feelings and thoughts into this short film as a response of the pandemic. I want to illustrate the individual’s desire for love in this isolate environment.
